1. Site owner

2. Purpose

1492tokens is a free, non-profit monthly event of short talks about artificial intelligence. This website informs about the project and hosts the archive of recorded talks.

3. Intellectual property

The name "1492tokens", its logo, this website's design and texts belong to Pablo Peláez. Recorded talks are the work of their respective speakers, who retain authorship and all moral rights.

4. Speakers' rights assignment

By taking part as a speaker in any 1492tokens edition, in any city, and confirmed in writing before recording, the speaker:

  • Authorises the recording of the talk in video and audio, including their image and voice.
  • Grants 1492tokens a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for the maximum term allowed by law, to reproduce, distribute, publicly communicate and transform the recording in order to: (a) publish it in full on the 1492tokens YouTube channel and this website; (b) edit and publish clips on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X and any other project channel; (c) use excerpts to promote the event.
  • The licence is non-exclusive: the speaker may publish and share the recording anywhere, crediting 1492tokens.
  • 1492tokens will not commercialise the recordings nor license them to third parties for commercial purposes without the speaker's express consent.
  • The speaker warrants that the content is original or duly licensed and does not infringe third-party rights or disclose confidential information.
  • The speaker may request removal by writing to info@1492tokens.com; 1492tokens will remove it from the channels under its control within a reasonable time.

5. Editions in other cities

Anyone may host a 1492tokens edition in their city, free of charge and without a franchise, provided they respect the format (five 8–10 minute AI talks, recorded and published on the shared channel) and these terms. The local host is responsible for the venue, attendee safety and local regulations. 1492tokens may withdraw the use of the name from editions that do not respect the format or spirit of the project.

6. Disclaimer

Opinions expressed in talks are solely those of the speakers. This site links to third-party platforms (Luma, YouTube, social networks) over whose content 1492tokens has no control.

7. Governing law

Spanish law applies. Courts of León, Spain, unless consumer law provides otherwise.
